how can i see ethernet card speed in solars

hai this is nagesh

when i was doing practical , i find some dought.
iam using solaris 9. how can i see the ethernet card speed , wheather it is halfduplex or full duplex.any body please help me

have a look at "man ndd"

ndd -get /dev/bge0 link_speed

replace bge0 with your interface name.

Hi sysgate this is true and works, but it just gives you a binary code of 0 or 1

ndd -get /dev/bge0 link_speed

0 = 10 Mbps
1 = 100 Mbps

the command bellow gives info wether is half-dulex or full duplex

ndd -get /dev/eri link_mode

0 = half duplex
1 = full duplex

Hi, Does anyone know how can I determine the maximum capable speed on a network interface card for different OS like HP, Sun, AIX and Linux.
