Mount a windows drive on unix

Hi, I would like to be able to mount windows xp to a unix system, so that I can pull data from windows machine for backup and store it on the unix server. Does anyone know how I can go about mounting the windows drive in unix.

We use samba to to the reverse. Mount a UNIX filesystem on a Windows PC.

I guess it way work for the reverse....

Search samba on the net there s heaps of pages and the official web site.

What do you mean by Unix? If you are using Linux, you can definitely mount Windows filesystems, but if you want to do that remotely, I'm not sure how you could...

A better alternative is to use samba, the way Andrek has said and mount the unix disk on windows and have Windows put data onto it.

I actually discovered that if you share a folder in Windows XP, than you can mount it on your Linux machine using smbfs. It worked pretty well.

i installed dual operating systems on a sigle disk (xp&linux 9)
now i want to accses fat files on linux how it is posible
