How to delete files over 30 days

I have a directory that contains files. I would like the command that deletes all files that are over 30 days old. Delete files based on creation date and not modified.

I don't think we can delete based on creation date, as unix don't store creation date, we can do based on the modified date only..

find $DIR -ctime +30 -exec rm {} \;

Mahendramahendr, to delete files based on modified date, you have to use -mtime. -ctime will give you the last inode change time, which may be later than the last time the file was modified.
