If a patient dies because of a system monitoring failure, this thread will probably be entered into evidence during the subsequent legal action.

Aix is at 4.3.3.0

Monitors aren't failing, it's the central monitor, so no worries. The Monitors are stand alone, the central just gives the nurses desk a view of all monitors at once and then can print off different patient data from there. The server is not a critical device.

That could be deemed critical if it going down means a nurse doesn't see the monitors.

Not in our configuration, besides all monitors have their own alarms anyways.
