why not use find command

That's a great solution, if solaris' find supports it. Even if it does support -size, it may not support the 'M' modifier. It may require specifying in bytes followed by 'c'.

For find's that do support 'M', you can probably just write +2G.

Error is with stat command i think please find the script and error...

Computer Deleting unwanted file by taking backup

I wants to create the bash script for deleting the specified 1gb file and wants to take the backup before doing that.

please help me how to do the same,I use Solaries10 server

The 'M' modifier isn't POSIX indeed. That would then be be -size +2147483648c or -size +4194304.
