Difficulty with set - command
Hi ,
i have a shell script with the first two lines as

#! /bin/ksh
set -x

when i try opening the file from unix using the command 'sh filename.sh' , i am getting the below error :
invalid optionline 2: set: -
Pls help

What do you expect from us?
We know nothing about your system, and you give us an extract that will normally not generate what you are showing us...
Just in case you doubt , I tested on a HP-UX and a Debian (in case it was a bash artefact...) with same result: Nothing...

filename.sh" 3 lines, 21 characters written  # Debian - add a Dot to see if it did anything...
nas:/home/vbe $ sh filename.sh
+ .
"filename.sh" [New file] 4 lines, 21 characters  # HP
ant:/home/vbe $ sh filename.sh
ant:/home/vbe $
