comparing 2 files
I want to compare two files in unix.
The delemiters in both the files are different (Although both are spaces but no of space is not consistent)

For example
a.txt
Code:
a       123         a.txt
b   24               b.txt

b.txt
Code:
a                     123                 a.txt
b                      24                   b.txt

How can we compare the above file?

Hi Raudoulov,
Some addition to my question is,
the second coloumn of both files are having same data till 10th desimal place. in second file there 13 desimal places and in 1st file there are 11 desimal places. In first file it is rounding the value.
Code:
in file.txt
the second coloumn is 
1.12345678957

Code:
in file2.txt
the second coloumn is  
1.1234567895678

I want it should match if upto 10th desimal places are matching. ignore rest.

Something like this?
(use gawk, nawk or /usr/xpg4/bin/awk on Solaris)
