Pwd script
when user types "pwd.sh joe" at command line, it generates pwd as abc123 and when user types "pwd.sh jane" at command line, it generates pwd as abc123.

pwd will change every 90 days.

my pwd file will be always abc123 until i change joe/jane/bob pwd manually.

So, what are you asking for? Is this meant to generate a random password perhaps?

Using "pwd" is rather confusing as that is usually interpreted as "Present Working Directory"


Can you clarify?

no, i will have a pwd file which resides /tmp/pwdfile.txt

content in /tmp/pwdfile.txt is just abc123

when i change joe/jane/bob and so on pwd, i will update /tmp/pwdfile.txt manaully.

for example, right now, it's abc123

3 months from now, it will be xyz123

Where/what is the problem/issue?
I (and probably the others too) don't see that.

sync samba pwd with aix5.3 pwd
