Error Configuration of External Modem on Open Server 5
Smilie I need some help changing the configuration for a 56k Modem to a 28k modem on the server.

Any help on installing this will be greatly appreciated!! Smilie

You'll need to give more information.
1. The exact model of modem
2. The exact OS
3. The hardware platform

for 2 and 3you can post the output of "uname -a"

CPU & Memory Installing External Modem - Details
The fax modem is a US Robotics 28k Faxmodem

The OS is SCO OpenServer Release 5

sco_sv scounix 3.2 5.05 I386

Error Configuration of Modem
I did some looking around and I swapped a couple of modems. What do I do to configure the server from the 56k modem that was there Com Port to a 28k Modem that I have installed Com port as well. Any help would be appreciated!

Installing Solaris x86 through an external DVD drive through the USB port...

Is there a way to install Solaris 10 x86 with an external DVD drive that connects through the USB port? I would think I would run GRUB off of a floppy disk and somehow use that to make it look to the USB port to boot from but I don't know how to do that. Can anyone help me out? (1 Reply)
