Sftp from UNIX to mainframe
Hi,

I have many scripts where i have used sftp for file transfer from unix box to unix box.. Now that we have to sftp files from unix to mainframe, i would like to know if that is possible.

I just tried in the same way i did from unix to unix, but i got the error as connection refused.

Are there any commands with which i can check if we can sftp and what are the commands which we can use.

Only your mainframe guys can answer that question...
We do have some ftp between mainframes and unix systems, at the time I was in charge, ftp was not filtered... in intranet now I am no more in charge... but I think some support sftp, for other I think there is a commercial utility...

DO check the firewall between your source and destination server with telnet command:
