How to increase buffer size (xterm)?

Hello,
I would like to increase the size of my buffer in my xterm window. My shell is bash and my home directory is auto mounted. I'm on Solaris 10, RHEL 5 and SLES 11 servers. Do you know where I can do this?

Are you referring to -sl option, this option specifies the number of lines to save that have been scrolled off the top of the screen?

Check the manual here

Yes that is what I think I want. See we just rebuilt our Solaris server and this is our main admin server. With the old server we all used terminal but with this new setup where using xterm. Thank you for providing me with the man page. There was no man page on xterm on my serves.

Is there a file I could edit istead of doing a the command below?
Code:
xterm -sl 100 &

You can save your setting in .Xdefaults located in your home directory. If it is not present, then I guess you have to create one.
Code:
xterm*saveLines::        100

Note: If double colon is giving error, replace it with single colon.

Yeah was looking for the .Xdefaults file. I don't have one. I will create one and put the line from your example.
Thank you.
