mailx command - Temporary mail file: permission denied

Hi ,

I am facing a problem with respect to mailx command in unix . Earlier it was working fine and I am facing this issue only from last week .
I used mailx command and I am getting a error message as follows :

temporary mail file: Permission denied

If I run mailx command from datastage , it is working fine .
It would be great if somebody can throw some light as to why I am receiving such an error message please .

Thanks

What do you mean by that? what is datastage here - The IBM product or a users's environment?

Check that you have write permissions to /tmp .

If you have $TMPDIR set, check that it points to a directory where you have write permissions.
