Default Gateway address question

Hi,

Using Redhat 6.1 with all the latest patches. I have the default gateway address but it never gets loaded. I have to add that manually? Not sure. Any idea. Is there any other place which I need to add?

Code:

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-em1

DEVICE="em1"
HWADDR="x:x:x:x:x:x"
NM_CONTROLLED="yes"
ONBOOT=yes
TYPE=Ethernet
BOOTPROTO=static
BROADCAST=x.x.x.x
IPADDR=x.x.x.x
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETWORK=x.x.x.x
GATEWAY=x.x.x.x

DEFROUTE=yes...but looking at the network-scripts, should do it if DEFROUTE is not "no"... so not sure.
Recommendation, use the Red Hat GUI tools to setup networking so that all values will get put into place.

It's bug on Redhat version 6.1.
