Hi,

I had setup crontab to execute my script every day midnight 00:00

Below are the current settings.

Code:
crontab -l
0 0 * * * /apps/bin/compress.ksh_moht > /dev/null 2>&1

Should it not work?

I need help fix this?

Question

So, are you fine with the way my crontab is setup?

I can simply write a script to remove a file from the /tmp and check if my syntax of crontab is fine ?

Question

Hi,

I tried to check if the crontab is even working.

Below is what I did.

Code:
crontab -l
0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * echo "Hello"

I believe the above should have echo'ed "Hello" after 5 mins.

Code:
date
Tue Aug 16 06:41:22 EDT 2011
date
Tue Aug 16 06:49:11 EDT 2011

However, did not see any output.

Please confirm if my test is correct and how could I check if the crontab is even Running.
