how to list descending order

Hi,

I want to short descending all the files according to their size.Please help me..

Hi,

Code:
man ls
man find
man sort

Have a look at the manual-pages to find out what options are available, yours may differ from the ones I use.

If all files are in the same directory use
Code:
ls -lS

To list all files in this and all subdirectories use
Code:
find . -ls |sort -k7 -rn
