UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

I have a Postfix email server running on my MacOs x box.


I would like to customize this automatic message to portuguese language:

I'm sorry to have to inform you that the message returned
below could not be delivered to one or more destinations.

For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster>

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the message returned below.

Could you help telling me where I can find the configuration files in the Unix file system?

I have looked for it in /etc/postix/

But no success...

I have read the whole documentation on Postfix.org, and can't find an answer to my query.

Did you mean reading the brazlian manual offered by Humberto Sartini?

Didn't find the answer to it.

I even copied the files from /etc , /private, /var to my Windows computer and tried to do search for file containing the string "this is the posfix program". But couldn't find.

Questions:

1) Do you expect to find the file that generate the message in simple text format, or would expect them to be in machine human-unreadable language?

2) This is basic one I believe. What is the unix bsd comand used to find a string of text within files in a whole directory?

The configuration is done at the source code:

Download the source code, and the file is /src/bounce/bounce_notify_util.c
