why don't you change your shell, only for that moment, to do that really simple script before piffling for hours?

Mr. Pepintheshort,

After reading the thread, I suggest you be less demanding and more appreciative of people whom are trying to guide you. If someone thinks it is best to provide you minimal guidance, you should accept that because this is free. I think your replies violate the guidelines of this forum.

If Mr. Optimus does not want to do your work for you, he is certainly within his right to provide general guidance. You should say 'thanks' and ask a more specific question, perhaps someone else will have a different approach.

However, do not 'beat up' on folks who do not give you the exact answer you seek and do not 'name call' on these boards or I will sadly change your status to read only.

Please enjoy the forums.

We dont get paid for this advice... This is a repository for Knowledge and sharing of information... NOT an ala carte salad bar for you to come demand answers...

Reality is that most of us are professionals who have real jobs... we just dont have time to write solutions for everyone who asks.

The way this site works is you provide some code and we help... We dont write your code for you, but some do offer code of their own volition...

IF you read the rules this site has strict ones for a reason. We dont want this to become a flamers board or a homework board.

Remember, If you harass the users here they will be unlikely to want to help you in the future...
