UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Hi,

I'm trying to configure SCO's internet manager for access to
the internet. However, when I start the config program, my desktop turns black & white (unless I minimize communicator's window -- then it turns back to normal).

I type in the user id and password and it looks as if the Manager loads up, however, disappears. No errors ... no logs.

This is a new machine we just built (all-in-one intel motherboard P4, 2.4 GB 512K 533 FSB).

I don't have to use Netscape as my browser (just always did). Can anyone either tell me a possible solution for the display or clue me in on a different browser?

Im baffled. Any ideas?

Scratch that. I found that Navigator will not work on SCO's desktop if the video card's config is set to 16 colors.

Upon unstallation, SCO set the video card config to IMB standard. Intel does not have a driver for SCO. When trying to change the resolution, I found that only 16 colors max was supported.

I wound up installing a separate card and *voila* netscape works and Im up and running on the internet.
