TZ out by 12 hrs
Is there a way of setting the TZ for New Zealand. I do not mind if it is only for the logged in session.

It makes it hard to understand when files or CRON jobs have run when the time is set to GMT0.

Any help will be appreciated.

yes,

if you want to change the time for the whole system use the variable.

TZ=US/Central

at least that sets it for solaris to central.

you can see if you have the man page for timezone.

File Formats timezone(4)

NAME
timezone - default timezone data base

SYNOPSIS
/etc/timezone
