There is a theoretical proof that every turing-complete language can be brought to do the (ultimately) same, so i think the programming language A is better than programming language B because ...-discussions are moot. All shells in the list above are turing-equivalent and the rest is personal preference.

But there is one thing about bash i have observed times and again: it is preferred for all the wrong reasons - reason (singular!), to be precise! I work on AIX systems where ksh is the main system shell for the third decade already and i have got requests to install bash hundreds of times in the last 20 years or so.

The reason for bash is in 90% the commandline editing with the cursor keys. ksh offers two editing modes out of the box: vi-style and emacs-style (i prefer vi-style like i prefer vi as editor). Both these styles could probably be brought to accept cursor keys via some clever key redefinitions and macros, but, i give you that, it would involve some work to do it and do it right. bash offers this functionality out of the box. Most people only decide to use bash just because the find "cursor-up-right" easier than "ESC-k-l" (to get to the second character of the last command).

That's why I like zsh as an interactive shell.
It provides a cursor-up editing and, even keeps a loop structure!
The other thing that people like: the auto-completion with the Tab-key.

BASH: because it's the most universal. I like to use and stay familiar with the tools I'm most likely to run into on my next assignment. That pretty much means BASH or Window's command.
