Terminal Expand

hi guys.

i have written a script/program and i would strongly prefer if this script automatically expands the user's terminal whenever he or she starts the script.

this is so the script/program can fit on the user's screeen without user having to manually drag and spread his screen.

what do i have to add to my script to accomplish this?

we're running a mostly Linux environment with some SUN boxes.

any help is greatly appreciated.

ps
i know bits of the tput command but i'm almost certain theres a better way than this. please help

Bad Idea. Come on. Let the user set their own console size.
