Question installing unix on a amd athlon processor

I just need a simple answer on if installing unix on a pc using an AMD processor instead of Intel is going to be a problem.

I don't see why it would be.. I had linux running on a pc using an amd processor and it was fine.

It's not a big issue. More important is MB, NIC, video card, etc.

What flavor?

I run FreeBSD with both Intel and AMD.
