solaris second cd failure

We have a problem on a Sparc Ultra 5 box when installing solaris.

We boot from the CD-ROM then go through the install procedure adding IP address, domain, routing details, hard disk layout etc.. The problem arises when asked for the 2nd CD at this point you do get the option to "skip" installing the 2nd CD however we would like to install all the 2nd cd apps (does the 2nd CD only contain apps???).

No matter what options I choose before hand (ie full 64bit support + OEM or just full 64bit support etc etc etc) it always fails after I change to the 2nd cd at the prompt this is true for both Solaris 8 & Solaris 9 both times get a message install failed.

As far as I understand it (please correct me if wrong) the core operating system would have installed 100% okay at this point and it would only be the additional apps (on the 2nd) which would have failed?

I know that the CD's are fine as we have used them to install on other identical machines.

I had a similar problem on my Ultra 5 while installing Solaris 9. I copied the second CD to disk and ran the install program from there. I can't remember the name of the install program/script, but I think it was pretty obvious. The problem I was having was the installer was looking for a CD label of something like Sol_9_Sparc but the CD created from the ISO I downloaded from Sun had a label of something like Sol_902_Sparc. I just copied the CD to a directory named "Sol_9_Sparc" and it worked. You should be getting similar errors if you are having the same problem and it should tell you the correct label, I am just guessing since I can't remember.
