Hi guys i'm having problems with unix sco 5.0.6 openserver.

One's i install unix and it goes smooth then when it should give the BOOT: is tells me That is cylinder out of range of the 1024

I'm not sure the exact error but it looks like that

If any of you know how to fix this

It sounds like the boot sector is outside the 1024 cylinder region.
Is your root directory on the first partition? Are you dual booting and have SCO on another HD?

Basically you need the boot sector inside 1024 on the first partition of your HD.

On one thread you post that the link I gave you didn't have the answer - not true. You cannot 'fix' your problem as is - if you did not create the boot filesystem in accordance with both the OS and BIOS, then it's going to fail. The 'fix' is to do it again and get the 20MB of info into the first 1024 cylinders.

need to reside in the first 1024 cylinders, so you'll need slightly
