ati rageon freebsd
does anyone know if i am able to run this:
x -version 4.2.1 freebsd 5 or 4.7 ati rageon 9700 pro

I tried to install gatos drivers, but fortune was not on my side

Have you checked the FreeBSD site? With the new version out they may have updated the hardware list.

finallly with ati provided drivers all worked,
X works,and also i think you'll be in need to do Patch to run movies with mplayer:
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mp...deon_vid.c.bin


but that only "as i undersood" with radeon xvidix "fglrx" driver.
