Successfully Installed Solaris 8 after all.

Hello There,

Aftar all i successfully installed Solaris 8 on my Primary Slave 2nd Hard disk.

Here what i did.

I kept my first hard disk (Windows Me) on primary Master and put my new 2nd hard disk on Primary Slave, CDROM is on Secondary slave.

When i install solaris8 it ask me two options, first was my first hard disk which abviously i would not touch at all, i changed my second hard disk with solaris fdisk and make it as Primary Boot Disk, at the end, Solaris warn me that you must change the BIOS setting because you have changed the Primary boot disk, so after rebooting i had to go to BIOS and under Hard Drives, i change the sequence of booting first from my second hard disk and then my first hard disk.

Now i have solaris on my 2nd and windows on my first and whenever i want switch between O.S to use i just go to BIOS and change the sequence of hard disks.

Everything is perfectly working fine and i am enjoying my new Solaris 8 .

Thanks all your help.

Abid Malik
