hi people,
what is the directory to install oracle database ? To create a user except root, what is the home directory to specify to accept the installation? what is the right path to get the installation? i stock in this point, thus if you can explain ASAP when you see this message i will appreciate very much. thanks |

In directory for database files: the user's home dir is /usr/sys By using this i get there is not enough space - i have plenty of space.
i change to /opt and i get i don't have sufficient privileges. this is on sun solaris8 thanks |

First, get with the system admin to correct any permission problems or have the SA help with the pre-installation portion.
Orasolaris.org may be useful for you in the pre-installation, installation, and planning. |
