Question Problems with Apache setup

I downloaded Apache 1.3.27.tar.gz into my SCO u/install directory.
However, to begin with, I couldn't untar the file using the " tar xvf apache-1.3.27.tar.gz" command, so I used winzip from a windows computer on our network. Winzip untarred the file and I transferred the files to the SCO u/install directory.

At this point, I tried to compile. I typed "CC="pgcc" OPTIM="-02" .
After typing enter, I immediately recieved the command prompt.

The problem is when I type ./configure --prefix=/sw/pkg/apache.
After typing enter, I recieve the message"./configure: cannot execute".

Can any members of the forum help me?

cd into your apache installation directory and run this command and post the results:

Code:
ls -l configure*

Post the output and we will tell you what's up!

Bye the way, postfix .gz needs ugzip to decompression.
