booting up in Redhat Linux 7.1

When I created the redhat installation, I configured it to boot directly into GNOME, but now I want it to boot into the shell login screen. How can I change that?

Thanks.

First, change directory to /etc.
Copy inittab to inittab.orig (make a backup - screwing up this file can leave your system unbootable).

Edit inittab, and look for a line near the top that looks like this:
id:5:initdefault:

Change the 5 to a 3, and reboot.

Good luck!
