DEC Unix system

Whats the max number of charaters a password can be on a DEC Unix System?

I'm terribly sorry that we couldn't answer your question. The only people who will have a shot at providing you with an answer are those who have some experience on a DEC Unix system. I do not. DEC is a very minor player in the UNIX arena or was prior to it's demise.

You posted your question late on Friday and felt a need to insult us late on Sunday. It is possible that we have one or two DEC experts who simply didn't check the board over the weekend. Your second posting did not increase the probability that they would spend their time to answer your question.

We do have some rules here that posters are expected to follow. Please read them and comply with them if you intend to continue posting. In particular, notice:

Base security is 8 and enhanced is 10.
