unix server behind MS proxy server
I'm trying to get a Unix server on the internet (mostly for DNS requests) but this server is on a network behind a Proxy server. How can I configure my unix server that he will pass the proxy server for internet requests?

Is your Windows box running ICS (Internet connection sharing) with 2 NIC's? If so, configure the UNIX hosts default route to be the IP of the inside interface on the Windows box, and make sure that the UNIX box is on the same subnet.
If you are trying to proxy web traffic, you will need to configure the individual browser to proxy thorugh the IP/port combo of your proxy server. |
