Question I would like to know

I would like to know which Linux version (i.e RedHat, Suse etc) u would recommend for someone who takes GUI seriously?

It's not so much matter of distro, but window manager. I like KDE 3.0 a lot, but found better sound support under Gnome 1.4 for FreeBSD 4.5.

There are a variety of window managers available for XFree86 running under Linux.
