How to install Cygwin on Windows XP SP2

Please can anyone help me with how to install cygwin on a windows Xp SP2 platform, I cant seem to get it to work?

When you follow the steps of the installation, you will get on a "select packages to install".
From the list of packeges listed there, choose "devel" and change the action from "default" to "install" then finish the next steps.
