CDROM Volume Management
Hi All,
As far as I know CD ROM is mounted by the mount command in Unix/Linux. I wanted to know if the CD-ROM has any associated daemons that can be used to control it. On this forum I got I got an answer to a related post http://www.unix.com/unix-dummies-questions-answers/73694-unable-umount-cdrom-new-post.html The answer asked me to use /etc/init.d/volmgt to do the same. However I do not have /etc/init.d/volmgt in my Linux environment. I checked in both RHEL5 and SUSE Are there any replacement commands for /etc/init.d/volmgt or should I install something extra. Thanks, Jiju |
