Legato Storage manager on Tru64

Hi,

OS : Compaq Tru64 4.0D

I am installing newer version of LSM which comes with Oracle Enterprise Edition.

I removed the previous version of legato(Server, Node, Client and Man) using setld -d
but when I try to install the new version I get this message..

** Installation of LSM cannot proceed due to previous installation
** of LSM or a similar product. Please contact customer support
** to determine how to proceed with installation and configuration

What could be the problem? Appreciate all help.

On Tru64, try this steps on completely removing the Previous Version of LSM and try to Install the Latest again.

Do post back the output.

Hi Killerserv,
Thanks for the reply. I did follow the instrunctions in the url. But when I start Legato installation I get the same message.
I wonder if there are any environment variable set...
If i see setld -i the legato coponents are not marked as "installed"
ps -ef | grep nsr, also doesn't show any process..

What could be the problem?
