Question System Summary Tools

Are there any system sumary tools for Linux? What are some good ones for Solaris and HP-Ux?

Any external (3rd party) tools for gathering extensive system profile information?

I'm looking for a solution that'll allow me to continually update documentation info. and something that will provide a standard format for various O/S & hardware SUN, HP, CPQ.... ?

See anything like that around?
