Question man pages

Hi folks,


I want to know all the commands for which man pages are available. How do i get it?

list of man pages

If you can access a system, you can go to /usr/share/man on most boxes and there are several sub-directories that contain the actual man pages.


Here is one page for LINUX. Click on the one that says "Section 0: Everything"

Remember, Every version of UNIX has unique commands that may not be in another version. So look for your preferred version. Although, most commands will be the same across all UNIX flavors.

Try "man intro".

This has a lot of information about how the man pages are set up. Not suer if all versions have this - but try it and see.

i have a suggestion. If you want much more easy way. Or too lazy to type m..a..n <command> try here then:
