You would need a FreeBSD boot floppy. It can be gotten off of the FTP site. There's a file in there that explain which one you'll need.
I have installed FreeBSD and OpenBSD on several old machines that do not support bootable CDs using this method... Another alternative that is helpful if you've got a high-bandwidth connection: Install directly from the FTP site. The OpenBSD dist is fairly quick, although FreeBSD has a lot of extra stuff installed, so it may not be an option for you... |
