Hi all,
Does anyone know a technique for creating a download file in variable length format? I have looked around but haven't found any resources on this (or, maybe I'm not sure what to Google for Thanks in advance! |

I don't understand the question...
When you download a file, it is in what ever length/format it is... You don't have to create it in a particular format.... If you are CREATING a file for someone else to download, that is a different story, but again I don't understand the problem.... Do you mean variable length records? Of what do they consist? Any file can have variable length records. Usually, you have to work to make them FIXED length (older mainframe applications require these), not the other way around... |

this is a two part question -
1) downloading 2) variable length records variable length records - its about how you create the file. downloading - which file needs to be loaded. Can you please be more specific ? |
