How to change Firefox keyboard shortcuts
Hi board!
Can anybody tell me how to configure the Keyboard shortcuts of Firefox? I know that there is an extension called keyconfig and I used it with Firefox 1.0 but I it wasn't updated since 2005 or something. I also had a closer look at about:config but didn't find anything. My Google searches always end up at the keyconfig extension page. Thanks for reading. |

Shortcuts The easy way is to go into about:config and add entries for "ui.key". See Customizing Mozilla for details. The more advanced way is discussed here: XUL Tutorial:Keyboard Shortcuts - MDC You might need the more advanced way for modifying CTRL/ALT/SHIFT assignments, and for determining what keys do what in which mode. |

Thanks otheus!
Unfortunately there seems to be a bug preventing key configuration changes: Bug 201011 I found this through you document linked for me here: Customizing MozillaI can't believe that so few people want to change their Firefox shortcuts. |

Um, sorry I overlooked that. But I'm still stuck because I can't find the mentioned file on my system and not even the dir it should sit in:
Code:
# locate platformHTMLBindings.xml # locate builtin /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/shell/builtin-command.rb /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/glchess/scene/opengl/builtin_models.py /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/glchess/scene/opengl/builtin_models.pyc /usr/share/pycentral/gnome-games/site-packages/glchess/scene/opengl/builtin_models.py /usr/share/ri/1.8/system/Shell/CommandProcessor/def_builtin_commands-c.yaml /usr/share/ri/1.8/system/Shell/CommandProcessor/install_builtin_commands-c.yaml /usr/share/ri/1.8/system/YAML/add_builtin_type-c.yaml /usr/share/man/man7/builtins.7.gz /usr/share/man/man7/bash-builtins.7.gz /usr/share/doc/openssl/doc/crypto/OPENSSL_load_builtin_modules.pod /var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/builtins.7.gz /etc/alternatives/builtins.7.gz |
