hi,
i'm pretty new to this unix. i've been asked to create a shell script which will pick up the email id from a text file(stored in same machine, same directory) searches for that id in another file in which a product name( a one line text) is mentioned against it. then it should send a mail with body of the text having the product name. the challenge here is that, in the 2nd text file, for some email id's there are more than one products and they have not listed all of them in one shot i.e, for ex for email id A, product 1 is mentioned against it in one line then somewhere down the list product 2 is listed against the same id A so on..... and i've been asked to send only a single mail to the email id A listing all the products instead of sending multiple mails. please help me out in this. |
