previous,next command in unix

Hi ,


after pressing down arrow,up arrow
I want to find previous,next command in unix

wat can i do for tat plz tell me

I am accesing unix server thru telnet.

my shell prompt ksh

I'm not sure if ksh allows that. The best option is to run bash, which supports this without any extra tweaking. In ksh, you can try to use the vi mode by running "ksh -o vi" or running "set -o vi" in the current ksh.

i tried both commands .
but it shows ^[ like tat symol .doesn't working

put set -o vi on the command prompt or in your profile file.

then press esc and k to navigate the commands.In Bash you can do that without setting anything like set -o vi. up and down arrow works in that to navigate between commands.

press ctrl+u for PgUp
