Root directory full, system does not boot
Hi,
I have an SGI workstation running on Irix 6.5. A few days ago the system started giving messages that the root directory is full. Even before I could find out how to clean up the root directory, the system crashed and does not boot anymore. Can anyone help me on how I can get the system to boot again and clean up the root directory? I am a newbie at UNIX. Thanks! gnanavvk |

You could
1. boot in single user mode from the 6.5 installation CD 2. mount the original root drive 3. do some pruning as required 4. dismount the drive 5. reboot 6. eject the CD |
