I want to learn more about Unix

Hi,

can some one advice me of a book or online tutorail for some one new to Unix. Right now I only know few commands, and I dont have a clue regarding the different names like Solaris ...etc.

Have you had a look in the FAQ section of this forum... there are a number of ggod things in there...try your luck there first..

Also Solaris is Sun Microsystems - OS works on SPARC based workstations.
But whatever it may be, basic UNIX is same for everyone.
