Please Help Red Hat 7.2 GUI not loading & Connection issue
Please Help
Let me start off by saying that I am a total idiot when it comes to unix. Please, if you would care to reply keep this in mind. Thank you. I have been attempting to get my unix machine online to no avail. I have the rest of the house networked with 3 other windows machines into a cable modem. The service provides dynamic IP addresses and I have had difficulty linking the unix machine. My first problem is on shutdown I am having a failure ------------------------- shutting down NSF statd FAILED ------------------------- and now when I reboot, the GUI (gnome) does not start. The last thing I modified was the DNS Server (I believe) Please help I am running Red Hat 7.2 on a dell dimension xps h266 with ethernet card Thank You Last edited by kmer; 12-12-2001 at 04:49 AM.. |
