USB flash drive is not mounting what to do...?

hello forum..
i am using RHEL 4.0 and my system is dual boot.normally the usb flash drive should be auto mount , but in my system i am unable to mount the drive plz help...
i am a new user so plz give me in detail.

First, as root, try fdisk -l to show what drives and partitions are available.

thanks for ur early reply.
and i have done the same as u suggest.
i have three partitions i.e /boot , /,and one extended. i am unable to find the device in the /dev directory. how to mount that ? is there any configuration setting error or what..?
plz help...

I can't see your computer from here. Please post the output of fdisk -l to show what drives and partitions are available, with the device plugged in of course.

Also, please post the output of dmesg | tail in case there's anything going wrong on the driver level.
