Send Emails in Sco
I am trying to setup unix to send an email to an outside email address. I have searched the web and found a lot of sites. The problem is I can't figure out what I am supposed to do exactly.
I have tried installing sendmail but I get m4 version errors. I then tried to install m4 which seemed to go ok but I still get the m4 version errors with sendmail. I configured mmdf to the best of my knowledge and emails get created but they never get sent. I am assuming this is because I haven't given anything an SMTP server to use. I also tried to install exim but with no luck. All I want to do is have my Sco Openserver 5.0.6 send a blank email with the subject "Job Ran Successfully" to abc@123.net. Can I use mailx to do this with just a little configuration? |
