sftp
Hi,
I am trying to setup a sftp connection to the local host for testing purposes. The machine is on a extranet behind a firewall which makes it difficult to test to other machines on the network as I do not manage to Firewall. I am just testing the concept for now to determine what needs to be done for scripting. I have generated the public and private keys by using ssh-keygen. The keys in the /home/"user"/.ssh/ directory. I then redirected using the cat command the public key /home/"user"/.ssh/id_rsa.pub to /home/"user"/.ssh/authorized_keys2. If I now sftp to the site then it still prompts me for a password. Any ideas. Much appreciated. |
