anybody heard of the script that allows

Does anybody knows of the script that allows your unix GUI to look like windows GUI?

To what degree of resemblance are you looking for? Recent versions of many GUI toolkits (GTK+/Qt) already have UI controls pretty close to Windows GUI. Some toolkits such as Qt support "skins" that certain skins are particularly drawn to look like Windows.

But that is a Unix GUI toolkit, not Windows, you know.

Thank you cbkihong just close enough for me to be able to fool my girl friend that saids that she doesn't want linux installed because she used to the way windows is setup ..

As I said, you know Unix is not Windows. If you can *really* fool a Windows user a Unix desktop is Windows, then he/she is probably not a real Windows user.

Maybe set up a test machine for her, allow her to play in anyway she likes. Preconfigure a wallpaper/theme that is sufficient to attract her eyesight on that machine. Just use all sort of ways to make her feel that it is interesting, beautiful and approachable, then she may be willing to try it.
