Hi,
I'm restoring my backup using "cpio -icvdBum < /dev/rStp0" but it gives error messages like this; "Reached end of medium on input. If you want to go on, type device/file name when ready." can I can restore my backup. Please help me. Alice. |

cpio error
Does it happen on more than one tape?
Have you switched the server off when you have rebooted? The tape drive / controller needs a hard reset at times. Have you cleaned the drive? Are you able to cpio -itv < /dev/rStp0? If the answers are all yes then you probably have a faulty tape drive. |
